A new quarterIn north Coburg

The Factory in the Green is to be built on a plot north of Coburg between Bertelsdorf and Glend, right next to KAESER’s current main plant.

Progressive-minded planning

Many years ago, Coburg designated this area as commercial property in its land use plan. Now the city is working with KAESER to develop it step by step, taking into account the local nature, topography, and surrounding residential areas. The goal is to create a neighborhood where work, life, and nature harmonize as a unified whole.

All pertinent interest groups had a hand in planning the Factory in the Green from the outset, with applicable regulations, municipal plans, and surveys on climate, water, noise and traffic taken into account. Site factors and protected assets were given careful consideration. (Plans as at 2025)
